DATA INTEGRITY SUITE
SERVICE DESCRIPTION – DATA OBSERVABILITY
(08-2022)
The following is a high-level description of the Data Observability Service (the “Service”)—part of the Precisely Data Integrity Suite.
Description:
The Data Observability Service allows a Customer to connect to a data source, generate metadata from a data source, identify trends and anomalies from the metadata, and ultimately generate alerts based on those anomalies. Users can configure alert rules, data to observe and frequency of execution on either a daily or weekly basis.
Volume-Based Alerts: The Service generates volume-based alerts based on the rate of change for a data asset derived from record counts. Volume alerts are created by either confidence-based models or user configured manual rules sourced from historic volume change percentages.
Data Drift Alerts: The Service generates alerts for data content falling outside of traditional patterns and values.
Allotment/Metrics:
As noted in the applicable Order, the Service will generally be based on the number of observed columns (or “observations”) during a certain period.
