Internal Mobility at Precisely with Grace Hanrahan
For companies to remain competitive in today’s market, they need a strong internal mobility program. When employees have the ability to move around, the organization can grow their talent base, save time and money in training, and even attract new talent.
We sat down with Grace Hanrahan, who has already made a few moves within our organization. Using our Internal Mobility program, she was able to gain knowledge and experience to grow her career as she explored areas of interest within the company.
As of April 2021, Grace has moved into her new role as a Senior Business Development Representative.

My last role with Precisely was in the Client Relationship Management area. This allowed me to develop and grow my communication skills, while gaining exposure to different areas of the organization.
Was this your first internal move or did you change jobs previously within the company?
I began as a Business Development Representative in 2015, moved to the Partner Management team, then to the Client Management team, and finally to where I am now as Senior Business Development Representative.

What motivated you to apply for your new role?
I was looking for the opportunity to have more control over my career, and the Sales/Business Development organization is the best spot to make that a reality!
How is the company helping you advance and succeed in your role?
With the support and focus on internal mobility within Precisely, it has allowed me to experience different roles within each team since 2015. I am super thankful for the emphasis on growing employees within the company.
What advice would you give someone who is looking to move to a new opportunity within the company?
Start reaching out to different individuals within the department or area you are interested in. Do some research to see if it’s something you would like to expand on in your career path. At that point, maybe schedule a casual conversation with a manager to hear more about their team and what they do and also to find out if there will be any openings down the line! That way you have expressed your interest and can be kept in mind if something does come up in the future.
